Edurne Jorda is originally from Barcelona, Spain. She moved to the US in 2004 and started practicing Iyengar and flow yoga with Catherine De Los Santos. She received her Smartflow yoga teacher certification from master teacher Annie Carpenter in 2012 and has been teaching ever since. She continues to take immersions with Annie on a regular basis. Edurne has also taken in-depth meditation courses with Kelly McGonigal at Stanford. Edurne’s teaching style focuses on creating healthy alignment for each individual student, while encouraging breath-awareness through movement and Pranayama (breathing exercises). She empowers her students to be mindful and take care of themselves, while creating a fun, trusting and non-judgmental environment where students of all physical abilities can feel welcome and safe.
Sumita's class provides a way of strengthening and healing the body and mind through a flowing series of exercise (asana), breathing (pranayama) and guided relaxation (yoga nidra). All classes are designed to accommodate the skill level of the practitioners and the seasons. Sumita Vasudeva received her 'Yoga Siromani' (Teacher of Yoga) and 'Yoga Acharaya' (Master of Yoga) certificates from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Kerala, India, in 1997 and 2008, respectively. She is also a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist (CAS), and can recommend yoga exercise, nutrition, lifestyle, and herbal remedies for your individual constitution through private consultations and educational workshops.
Tania Varela-Ibarra teaches Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on meditation, breath and healthy alignment. Her classes are structured in a progressive way, beginning with centering, followed by gentle warm-ups that thematically lead to a fuller physical practice. The aim is to offer a well rounded and deep practice that leaves students feeling balanced and peaceful. Serge Dautricourt has been practicing yoga since 2003 and received his training at Mount Madonna Center. He teaches a blend of Iyengar-based hatha yoga with vinyasa sequences, breathing techniques and meditation. He has taught in France, Brazil and the Bay Area. He is also a massage practitioner and business owner and loves music and nature.
Lisa Brill Robinson is a graduate of Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco and has taught yoga since 1989. She is a co-owner of the California Yoga Center in Mt. View. To create a safe and enjoyable yoga experience, Lisa focuses on the student's abilities and needs. She encourages awareness, curiosity and acceptance on and off the mat. Lisa's B.A. in dance lends to the creative and energetic nature of her classes. Many Iyengar instructors have influenced Lisa's teachings, and she is currently studying with Manouso Manos. Lisa teaches a private weekly restorative class and other restorative workshops. She is a published pregnant model for Judith Lasiter and Elise Miller and a model in Yoga Journal's 1994 calendar. She also works with people with sports related injuries or surgeries, back problems and pregnant women.
